"Where Growth Meets Opportunity"
Leaf and Ladder Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting young adults as they transition into independent living after involvement with the justice system, foster care, or other high-risk life circumstances.
ABOUT US
Our Independent Living Program serves individuals ages 18–24 who are seeking stability, personal growth, and a pathway toward self-sufficiency. We provide safe, stable housing combined with structured support designed to help participants successfully navigate adulthood.

OUR MISSION
To prevent homelessness and recidivism among young adults aging out of systems by providing stable and safe housing, accountability, and the tools needed to thrive independently.
SERVICES

Independent Living
Safe, stable housing that supports independence while maintaining structure, accountability, and responsibility.
At Leaf and Ladder Foundation, we believe independence is built through accountability, consistency, and opportunity.
WHY OUR WORK MATTER
Every year in the United States, more than 20,000 young adults age out of foster care without permanent family support.
Without structured support, 70–80% of youth aging out face homelessness, incarceration, addiction, or other crises by age 21
By age 26, studies estimate that 31%–46% have experienced homelessness at some point
